Intentionality and (Un)Consciousness: Freud’s Debt to Brentano
Abstract
This paper emphasizes the role of intentionality as an essential property of
human mental life. So, intentionality surpasses the conscious domain and
questions the absolutism of a rationality that claims the existence of an
internal link between consciousness and intentionality.
