Written Language and Picture Language after Otto Neurath — Popularising or Humanising Knowledge?
Abstract
The article draws a picture of the invention of the Vienna method of pictorial statistics and the people involved, especially Otto Neurath. There is also a focus on the Social and Economic Museum of Vienna, which was very successful as well as on the so called "Fernunterricht", a project that wasn't so famous.
