Our ‘Form of Life’ Revealed in the Action of Language

Abstract

The aim of the present paper is not to give an exegetic explanation of
Wittgenstein’s notion of form of life. It is instead, an attempt to understand
the use of our language as action and how it works as an evidence of all that we
are individually and collectively. I will show the parallel between the activity
of using language and the way our world is shown as a form of life. The term
‘form of life’ is used here in the sense of a cultural and social environment
with the aim to find a better explanation and sense behind our language.
